Production Process

From cassava intake to sealed container.

How we produce

Four stages, all under our own roof.

Most buyers sourcing from Indonesia cannot visit the factory before their first order. This page sets out what actually happens to the cassava between the field and your container, so the process can be assessed at a distance. Photography of each stage is pending from PT SAM.

1. Sourcing

Cassava is received from growers around Banjar Agung, Tulang Bawang. Lampung is one of Indonesia’s main cassava provinces, so roots reach the mill quickly after harvest — important because starch yield falls as roots sit. Each delivery is checked on intake for starch content, freshness, and foreign material.

2. Processing & Milling

Roots are washed and peeled, then rasped to release the starch granules. The slurry is extracted and separated, dewatered, dried, and sifted to the target particle size. Because PT SAM runs this stage itself, moisture, whiteness, and starch content are set in-house rather than accepted from a supplier.

3. Quality Control

Each batch is tested against the agreed specification before it moves on. Flour destined for buyers is held until it passes; flour destined for our own kerupuk line goes through the same check. Test parameters and equipment: […]. Certifications held: […].

4. Packaging & Shipping

Product is packed to the format agreed in the order — bulk bags, sacks, or custom packaging — then labelled, documented, and shipped from [port of origin] on [FOB / CIF / …] terms. Typical lead time from confirmed order: […].
